Pygmy Corydoras (Pygmy Catfish) – Care Guide
Description
The Pygmy Corydoras (Corydoras pygmaeus) is one of the smallest and most charming freshwater catfish in the aquarium hobby. Native to the slow-moving tributaries of the Amazon Basin in South America, these tiny schooling fish are known for their peaceful nature, active behavior, and unique habit of swimming in the middle water column, unlike most bottom-dwelling Corydoras species. Their silver body is accented by a distinct black horizontal stripe running from the snout to the tail, making them a beautiful addition to nano and planted aquariums.
