The thick-lipped gourami is a species of gourami native to Southeast Asia, and is a popular aquarium fish. The Thick Lipped Gourami Trichogaster labiosa (previously Colisa labiosa) becomes a very handsome fish. Once it gets settled this beauty makes a very attractive addition to a community aquarium. The mature adult has a splendid rusty orange or brown coloration accented by turquoise-coloured fins with orange or red edges.
