They thrive in well-planted tanks with open swimming areas and enjoy cooler, well-oxygenated water. Keeping them in groups of at least 6–10 enhances their natural schooling behavior and coloration. They readily accept a wide range of foods, including flakes, micro pellets, and small live or frozen foods. Compatibility: These minnows are peaceful and suitable for community aquariums with other non-aggressive, cool-water species. Ideal tank mates include small tetras, rasboras, danios, and gentle bottom dwellers. Avoid large, aggressive, or tropical fish that require higher temperatures, as this may cause stress.
