Water Parameters Temperature: 22–26°C pH: 6.0–7.5 TDS: 80–200 ppm Water Type: Soft to moderately hard Filtration: Moderate filtration with good oxygenation Water Changes: 20–30% weekly Care & Maintenance Peppered Corydoras are easy to care for and highly adaptable, making them suitable for both beginners and experienced aquarists. They thrive in well-maintained aquariums (minimum 2 feet tank) with: Fine sand or smooth gravel substrate (to protect their barbels) Driftwood and plants for shelter Well-oxygenated water They are social fish and should be kept in groups of at least 5–6 individuals to ensure natural behavior and reduced stress. Feed a varied sinking diet: Sinking pellets or wafers Algae wafers Frozen or live foods like bloodworms and tubifex Although they help clean leftover food, they should not be relied upon solely as “cleaner fish” and must be fed properly.
